Barbara Tako

Since 1998, Barbara Tako has taught clutter clearing and home organizing as a professional motivational speaker and published writer. In 2010, Barbara became a breast cancer survivor and in 2014, she became a melanoma survivor. She now seeks to help cancer survivors and their loved ones cope with cancer's emotional anguish. Barbara provides tools to help cancer patients emotionally survive and thrive after hearing the devastating words "You have cancer."

Barbara has appeared numerous times on television and radio, published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, was featured in the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and has written or appeared in articles in magazines and newspapers across the country. For several years, Barbara wrote a simple living column for the White Bear Press with a circulation of 32,00, and she coordinated a simple living group, which met monthly in the St. Paul, Minnesota area. She is currently a self-syndicated columnist. Barbara's honesty, humorous stories, authentic style and concise helpful tips have entertained and helped thousands of people to clear clutter and free up time and energy for their priorities.

Barbara has a B.A. in English and psychology with graduate coursework in industrial/organizational psychology. She lives, survives, and thrives in Minnesota with her husband, children, and dogs.
